The Brief

More than a stay, an experience.

At Graffiti Suites Málaga, hospitality goes beyond accommodation to offer a stay that blends comfort, creativity, and urban culture. Each suite is meticulously designed to provide the privacy and independence of a fully equipped apartment, while ensuring the service, hospitality, and convenience of a boutique hotel. Whether a business traveller, a creative mind, or a family exploring the city, the spaces cater to unique needs, offering a perfect balance between inspiration and relaxation.

The brief asked for lifestyle and interior photography that could carry that idea, not just document thirteen suites. As a boutique aparthotel photographer working in Málaga, the challenge was to photograph rooms designed around street art and self-expression in a way that reads as a considered stay, not a gallery, and as an apartment with hotel-level polish, not the other way around.

The Approach

Suites named after Málaga itself

Graffiti Suites sits in Fontalba, in Málaga’s historic centre, minutes from the cathedral and Calle Larios. Several of its thirteen suites carry the names of the city’s own landmarks: La Manquita, after Málaga Cathedral’s famously unfinished second tower, and La Aduana, after the old customs house that now houses the Museo de Málaga. Photographing those suites meant treating each one as a small portrait of the neighbourhood outside the window, not a generic interior.

Interior photography built for lifestyle, not real estate

Each suite at Graffiti Suites is a fully equipped apartment. Kitchen, balcony, and bathrooms finished in Andalusian tile all needed to read as lived-in rather than staged, while still holding the graphic confidence of the street art on the walls. That balance, warm and considered on one side, bold and urban on the other, shaped lighting and composition through the whole shoot.

An aparthotel photographer's brief: independence with service

Graffiti Suites positions itself between two categories: the independence of an apartment and the service of a boutique hotel. The photography needed to hold both claims at once, apartment living with hotel polish, across every suite category from Studio to Loft.

The Result

The book was introduced across upper-floor suites and distributed to select long-stay guests as part of the hotel’s arrival ritual. The property’s marketing team subsequently used spreads from the publication in media presentations and press kits — a function the book was never designed to serve, but which it fulfils naturally.

Four Seasons Hong Kong represented the fullest expression of our approach to hotel publishing: a publication that serves the guest first, the brand second, and the category third.
